Other Points of Contact

Please contact the Campus Center (TU) / IPA (UdK) if:

  • you have been granted a leave of absence (Urlaubssemester)
  • you are exmatriculating (withdrawing from enrollment)
  • you are enrolled more than one month after the semester has started
  • you are enrolled as a part-time or guest student

Severe Disability (TU Students)

If you hold a severely disabled person’s ID card (Schwerbehindertenausweis) with authorization for free public transportation, or if you are unable to use public transport for health reasons:

  • You must submit a color copy of your ID card once to the Campus Center.
  • After that, you do not need to reapply every semester.
  • However, please continue to check your payment overview in the TU portal.
  • UdK students must submit a new application every semester.

Reasons for Application

(For TU and UdK students only – ASH students, please contact the AStA of ASH.)

You may apply for an exemption if:

1. Health Reasons

You are unable to use public transportation during the semester for health reasons.
→ A medical certificate is required.

2. Study-Related Stay Abroad (at least 3 consecutive months)

Examples:

3. Enrollment at Two Universities with a Germany Semester Ticket

You must pay the semester ticket fee at your first university. At your second university, you may apply for an exemption.

How to Apply

  • Transfer the full semester contribution.
  • Download the correct application form (TU or UdK).
  • Collect all required documents.
  • Save everything as a single PDF file.
    → File name: LastNameFirstName.pdf
  • Upload the file in the exemption portal.

How Do I Receive My Refund?

TU-Student

After approval:

  • Log in to the TU portal.
  • Go to “Payment Overview” (SAP).
  • Enter your IBAN.
  • Request the payout.

The refund is not issued automatically.

UdK-Student

After approval, the amount will be transferred to the IBAN provided in your application.
