Jin – Jiyan – Azadi: Women, Life, Freedom

Solidarity with the Iranian women’s movement!

This Kurdish slogan, which has emerged in Kurdistan years before, is now chanted by thousands of Iranians as a result of the murder of Jina Amini, the Kurdish 22-year-old, became known as Mahsa Amini, despite the ban of Kurdish names  under the ruling regime in Iran. Jina was brutally murdered by the so-called morality police  in Tehran on 13/09/22, because she was wearing her Hijab “improperly”.

 Since her death, thousands of protesters across Iran came to the streets in rebellion against the gender apartheid of the ruling system and the inhuman regime.

The protests in iran started with burning the headscarves as a sign and symbol against the mandatory hijab law by many iranian women, wether they want to wear hijab as their personal choice or not. Protesters in Iran are risking their lives to fight for their self-determination. The protests turned to a revolutionary movement as the islamic republic, the ruling regime in Iran, declared many times that the mandatory hijab law is one of their main fundamental pillars.

Since the introduction of Sharia law principles after the 1979 Islamic Revolution, many, especially women and queer people, have been subjected to rape, torture, and murder. Many are killed because of their sexual orientation. A few weeks before this event, the regime in Iran sentenced two queer activists* to death in court in the name of “promoting homosexuality”.

On the evening of the second of October, the men of the regime attacked students from some universities all over Iran, especially students from Sharif University of Technology and Tabriz University. Many were shot or arrested. This is unacceptable under any circumstances. Protesting students in the university are unarmed and cannot defend themselves against the regime’s violence and weapons! This is another clear sign of the regime’s inhumanity.

Unfortunately at the present moment, the public opinion is being strongly biased by many western mass media outlets spreading misinformation about the issue, or trying to avoid covering it at all. For example, a recent article by the New York Times presents a version of the events in which people in Iran are protesting because of rising prices for groceries. How irrelevant!

Iranians demand from all other countries now in this crucial point of their history to clearly choose for their side: either the Iranian people or the ruling regime. 

We, as AStA TU Berlin, see it as an emancipatory duty to show solidarity with Iranian women and other discriminated and persecuted groups in Iran. We condemn the inhuman  ruling regime in Iran for its violence against the people and the bloody suppression of the demonstrations. We consider it the least that people everywhere in the world should be able to decide for their own bodies freely and without danger.

ژین – ژیان – آزادی: زن، زندگی، آزادی

این شعار کردی که پیش تر در کردستان مطرح شده بود، اکنون در پی قتل ژینا امینی شناخته شده  به نام مهسا امینی به دلیل ممنوعیت نام های کوردی در ایران، جوان  بیست و دو ساله کورد، توسط هزاران ایرانی سر داده می شود.  ژینا امینی در تاریخ 13/09/22 توسط پلیس گشت ارشاد در تهران به طرز فجیعی به قتل رسید

 از زمان مرگ او، هزاران معترض در سراسر ایران برای شورش علیه آپارتاید جنسیتی نظام حاکم و رژیم توتالیتر به خیابان ها آمدند

این اعتراضات که پیشتر با نام اعتراضات و اکنون پس از گذشت سه هفته شکل انقلاب به خود گرفتند در ابتدا با سوزاندن روسری توسط  

بسیاری از زنان ایرانی، با حجاب و بی حجاب، به عنوان نشانه و نمادی بر خلاف قانون حجاب اجباری شروع شد. معترضان در  ,ایران جان خود را به خطر می اندازند تا برای تعیین سرنوشت و عاملیت خود بر بدن خویش مبارزه کنند و این در حالی است که حکومت اسلامی در ایران بارها بیان کرده است که حجاب اجباری از پایه های حکومت ایشان است

از زمان معرفی اصول شریعت پس از انقلاب اسلامی در سال 1979، بسیاری به ویژه زنان و افراد دگرباش مورد تجاوز جنسی، شکنجه و قتل قرار گرفته اند. بسیاری به دلیل تمایلات جنسی خود کشته می شوند. درست چند هفته قبل از این رویداد، رژیم ایران دو فعال دگرباش* را در دادگاه به جرم “ترویج همجنسگرایی” به اعدام محکوم کرد

شامگاه دوم مهرماه مردان رژیم به دانشجویان برخی از دانشگاه های سراسر ایران به ویژه دانشجویان دانشگاه صنعتی شریف و تبریز حمله کردند. بسیاری هدف مستقیم گلوله قرار گرفتند یا دستگیر شدند. دانشجویان معترض در دانشگاه غیر مسلح هستند و نمی توانند در برابر خشونت و سلاح های رژیم از خود دفاع کنند! این یکی دیگر از نشانه های بارز ضد انسانی رژیم  و شدیدا محکوم و غیر قابل قبول است

ایرانیان اکنون در این نقطه حساس تاریخ خود   از همه کشورهای دیگر می خواهند که به وضوح  سمت و سوی خود را انتخاب کنند: چرا که یا در کنار مردم ایران می توان بود و یا رژیم حاکم و در حال حاضر حد میانی وجود ندارد

، نشان دادن همبستگی با زنان ایرانی و سایر گروه‌های تبعیض‌آمیز و تحت آزار و اذیت ایران را وظیفه‌ای رهایی‌بخش می‌دانیم

ما رژیم غیر انسانی حاکم بر ایران را به دلیل خشونت علیه مردم و سرکوب خونین تظاهرات محکوم می کنیم 

 ما همچنین   توانایی و امکان تصمیم آزادانه و بدون خطر برای بدن خود را از حداقل  حقوق  انسانی می دانیم
