Cancellation of teaching in the course of labor disputes and the possibilities of BAföG

Union members who are student employees and employees of the state of Berlin (TV-L and TV-STUD) are currently being called to strike next week. We as the BAfG- and Social Advising in AStA of the TU show solidarity with this and all other labor disputes!

We would like to briefly discuss the impact of the loss of teaching on BAföG. If courses and tutorials are canceled due to strikes and your studies are extended as a result, this is a clear legal reason to extend your BAföG Proof of performance (form 5) and/or to extend your BAföG beyond the maximum funding period! Come to our counseling service early to find out about these options!
