Job advertisement – international Counselling

From the 15.09.2025 on, we are looking for support in our advisory service for international students, provided by the General Student’s Committee of TU Berlin (AStA).

Advisory service for international students

Since 2010 our goal is advising students on all problems concerning their studies. In contrast to some of the university’s own advisory services, we represent the interests of the students. We are primarily called upon by students when they can’t expect help from other places. We advise them e.g. on questions around residence problems, foreign educational certificates, etc…

We offer students the possibility to get help and advice from student advisors; a specialist lawyer is also available for legal questions. Cooperation with the department for international students of AStA is also very important, as a number of problems can be solved outside the courts by talking to the right people within the university.

The job
You will be hired as a student employee, working 40 hours per month, with conditions analogous to TV Stud III. Employment is fixed term for 2 years.

Employee?
You are convinced (potential) students need advisory services independent from the university, as, for example, you had to deal with “insurmountable” bureaucratic problems yourself?
You already heard of the General Student Committee (AStA) and university politics and/or you consider the political representation of students important?
You are excited for self-organized work among equals and you are bursting with suggestions for improvement? You aren’t immediately scared away by laws and administrative regulations, and you find an ability to read them to the advantage of the students useful?
Then send us your application via postal mail until the 11.08.2025!
…and include an expressive application and curriculum vitae WITHOUT a photograph.
